Many people struggle in MLM because they don't have a network marketing lead generation system. A proven method of finding people who have a genuine interest in your business is key.
Successful network marketers know the importance of building relationships with people. The ones who really thrive in the profession have a strong plan to build those relationships. Plus, they have a system that puts people on track to generate a steady stream of leads so they can build their business.
Unfortunately, most people tend to get started in the wrong direction in network marketing. Some companies have the potential to provide a solid income, perhaps even one they can retire on, but only if they have a tested, proven system that works to build the business.
Part of that system needs to provide a method of understanding what the prospects really want. If you give them that, you have a chance. If you don't they'll keep looking.
What prospects want is not complicated. They want to know if they like you, and if you like them. They have to find out if your business-building plan is something they can do. Plus, they need to see whether you can help them.
Once you show them a simple way of doing these things, they'll see that it's doable for them. Show them a simple system that works. Let them see that's it's very easy for them to learn and to teach others.
Help them understand that they are in a system that is very duplicatable, which is exactly what they'll need to for long-term success in MLM.
You would never take a salaried job without knowing how much you're going to be paid per hour or per week or per month. That would probably be your number one or number two question.
That's why it's so surprising that many people start an MLM business without knowing the answer to that question. They hope to make a lot of money, but they have no clue what kind of production it will take to produce the income they want.
It's pretty easy to come up with the numbers, so there's no reason not to do it. To make money, you will need a certain sales volume in your business. Find out what that is. Let's call that X.
Then find out how much the average volume per current distributor is. You have reps on autoship, others order randomly, some people don't order. What is the actual average monthly volume per distributor? Let's call that Y.
When you learn those numbers, you can figure out how many people you need in your business to make the income you want. If you need 400 reps to achieve $10,000 a month, you can plan how to do that. If you need 3,500 reps to earn $10,000 a month, then you'll need a different plan. But you can't plan unless you know how many reps you will need.
